Serein: Breathe & Reflect (“Serein,” “we,” “our”) is designed to support calm moments through breathing, grounding, reflection, and offline tools. We take privacy seriously and designed the app to work without accounts and without collecting personal data.
1. Summary
We do not collect or sell your personal data.
Your journal entries, mood check-ins, and favorites are stored locally on your device.
If the app crashes, Apple may provide crash diagnostics to help improve stability.
2. Data We Collect
We do not collect personal data, such as name, email, location, contacts, photos, health data, or identifiers, for tracking or advertising.
3. Data You Create in the App
Serein includes features like journaling and mood check-ins. Content you create is stored on your device for your use inside the app.
Note: Depending on your iOS settings, your device may back up app data, for example via iCloud or computer backups. This is controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by us.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Serein: Breathe & Reflect is designed as a local-first wellbeing app. Journal entries, mood check-ins, favorites, settings, and daily usage counters are stored locally on your device unless a future version clearly states otherwise.
We do not currently create user accounts, and we do not store your journal entries, mood check-ins, favorites, or personal reflections on Learn.Act.Thrive LLC servers.
Because this data is stored locally on your device, deleting the Serein app from your device deletes the local app data stored by Serein on that device.
If you use device backup, Google backup, cloud backup, device transfer, or another backup service, copies of local app data may remain in your backup system according to your device or backup provider settings. To fully remove backed-up copies, you may need to manage or delete those backups through your device, Google account, or backup provider settings.
You may also delete app data without uninstalling by using your device settings, where available:
Android Settings > Apps > Serein > Storage > Clear data.
Subscription purchase records are handled by Google Play and may remain in your Google Play account according to Google Play’s purchase, billing, tax, fraud prevention, and legal record keeping requirements. Learn.Act.Thrive LLC does not receive or store your full payment card details.
If you contact us for support, we may retain your support message and email address only as long as needed to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
5. Crash Diagnostics
If the app crashes, Apple may provide crash reports and diagnostics information to help us fix bugs and improve reliability. This information is used only for app quality improvements.
6. Notifications
Daily Check-In Reminder
If you enable reminders, the app uses local notifications on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server and do not store notification data on our systems.
7. Third-Party Services
Serein does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not perform third-party tracking.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the “Effective date” above.
