Does Serein work offline?
Yes. Serein is designed as a local-first app and many core features work offline, including journaling, mood check-ins, favorites, settings, and offline tools.
Do I need an account?
No. Serein does not require account creation.
What is Quick Grounding?
Quick Grounding offers simple prompts and exercises to help you pause, notice the present moment, and take a small steadying step.
What are Affirmations?
Affirmations are supportive statements you can read when you want a steadier, kinder inner voice.
Privacy and Data
Does Serein collect my personal data?
No. Serein is designed to work without accounts and without collecting personal data for tracking or advertising.
Do you share or sell data?
No. We do not sell your personal data. Serein does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not perform third-party tracking.
Where are my journal entries stored?
Your journal entries, mood check-ins, favorites, settings, and daily usage counters are stored locally on your device unless a future version clearly states otherwise.
Will I lose my entries if I delete the app?
Because Serein stores app data locally on your device, deleting the app may delete the local app data stored by Serein on that device.
What is the Privacy Policy?
The Privacy Policy explains how Serein handles information, local data, crash diagnostics, reminders, and support contact information.

What does Enable Sounds do?
Enable Sounds turns app sounds on or off, including soothing sounds or audio feedback where available.
What does Enable Haptics do?
Enable Haptics turns gentle device vibrations on or off where supported.
What does Reduced Motion do?
Reduced Motion lowers or simplifies motion effects in the app for a calmer and more accessible experience.
What is Success Bloom?
Success Bloom is a small visual moment that appears after completing certain grounding actions to feel gentle and encouraging.
Reminders and Notifications
What is a Daily Check-In Reminder?
Daily Check-In Reminder is an optional local notification that can remind you to pause and check in with yourself.
Do you send push notifications from a server?
No. Serein uses local notifications on your device only. We do not send push notifications from a server or store notification data.
Sounds and Troubleshooting
What if sounds aren’t playing?
Check that Enable Sounds is on, device volume is up, Silent Mode is off, and try reopening the app if needed.
What if the app isn’t working?
Try closing and reopening the app, checking for updates, and confirming your OS version. If issues continue, contact support.
Support and Safety
Does Serein replace therapy?
No. Serein is a reflection and grounding app. It is not a therapy service, medical device, or replacement for professional care.

Is Serein free to use?
Serein offers a 7-day free trial. After the trial, access is $9.99/year.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Open your Apple ID subscription settings on your iPhone to update or cancel.
Is Serein available on Android?
Serein is currently available on iOS. Google Play access is coming soon.
