Golden Aspen Forest

A grove of aspens caught at the height of Colorado's fall color during a long run through the mountains. Instead of the wide mountain views that often define Colorado photography, this moment was entirely inside the forest, white trunks rising through a canopy of brilliant yellow leaves and sunlight filtering between them. It is the kind of scene that makes you stop moving for a minute, even in the middle of a run.
